The world was pulled into deep turmoil and distress when on February 28th the war between USA/Israel and Iran started. The top Iranian leadership including the Ayatollah was killed on day one but Iran with all its might responded with ballistic missiles on the US bases in the Gulf. Though the air power of Iran was significantly diminished , they were not the people who would give up. As a historian said, the people of Persia may appear to be poor but have a proud spirit. They immediately stopped all traffic through the all important Strait of Hormuz. The US responded with their blockade of the strair and the world economy crippled.

With mediation of countries namely Pakistan, Turkiye, Qatar ,Saudi Arabia and Egypt a digital "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding" was signed by the US President and the President of Iran to end the war and hostilities. We pray for the peace of Middle east and that the crippled economy will bounce back and people will have a window of respite.

Biblically, we see that this may be a short term peace affair. "On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured."(Zech 12:3)

The end time beast that will rise from the sea has the characteristics of the Medo-persian empire . "The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. "(Rev 13:2) The feet of the bear(Medo-persian empire , present day Iran) talks about the "Mobility ". And we clearly saw through this war that our mobility depended on Iran. The chest and arms of silver, that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream also depicts about how Iran is clearly involved in the affairs of the world and how the Medo Persian empire then controlled the ancient world.

Daniel interpreted the end of the vision as “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.(Daniel 2:44-45)
