New Creation and the Good News!

We all look for good news to come our way. The Bible says "Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones"(Prov 15:30) Yet we see a world marred in human conflict, economic woes , epidemics and natural calamities. The life and message of our Lord Jesus Christ changed the destiny of this world. The resurrection of the Lord defeated sin and death. The empty tomb speaks to us that we are no more in the old way of things but in a new creation. The entire creation is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God(Rom 8:19). Sin had manifold effects on God's creation and God stepped in to redeem this world. Christ rose as the firstfruit among the brethren(Rom 8:29)

Therefore if any one is in Christ, the new creation has come(2 Cor 5:17). We are the good news for this world longing for redemption. Christ is risen. Behold everything is new. Join the new order of things in Christ Jesus. Thus St Paul says " Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry"(Col 3:5) and also to "clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."(Col 3:12-14)

One day our faith will be sight. Till then lets flood the world with the goodnews of the Lord's reign and be eager to do His work. Remember we are the Good news since we have the gospel.
