Lessons from Two Wonderful Men of God who Crossed 90

In the past couple of months, I had the privilege to experience the blessings and ministry of two men of God who crossed their 90s. The first person is my late grandpa's cousin Mr K.A Philip. He is passionate about St Paul and ministry. He wrote an authentic book in Malayalam about St Paul and his mind is full about the apostle who brought the gospel to the gentiles. Even at 95 , he was sharp about what he read and meditated. He opened his Bible and took my attention to Psalm 22:31-"They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn:" His righteousness revealed in Christ and the verse and fulfilment was the message. He also went on to compare the law of gravity to the Law of thermodynamics/aerodynamics on how the natural laws of gravity is suspended when the flight goes up. The New Testament(The law of spirit of Life in Christ Jesus) has set us free from the law of Sin and death.

Pastor Thomas Abraham(Founder /President ) Ebenezer mission church who stays in New Jersey came down to India for yet another mission trip. Despite old age and tiredness , he took the time to visit the mission stations in Orissa, Andhra, Karnataka , Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I could attend a session where he spoke to the mission workers on how important it is to have a blessed family life as a pre requisite to successful ministry. He encouraged the workers to "move forward"(Ex 14:15) . We have to face Lucifer face to face at various times of our life. If the Son of God took victory by quoting the scriptures, we also should be well versed in the power of God's Word. To win the devil, we need to know His strategy. The devil knows our weaknesses and he will taunt us there. We need to say no to lies as the Devil is a liar and the father of lies. He further encouraged the gathering by asking them to adopt a simple lifestyle as outlined in Luke 9:1-6,Luke 12:1-12, Luke 14:22-25. He wanted to go on and on but then became tired and sat.

What a blessing to hear these truths from these wonderful men of God.
