Intimacy with God

Asaph's desire to be near God after his comparison turmoil is a classic example of what we need to do, when we encounter those moments. Everything appears to go well with the proud and haughty, but all what matters is the destiny in every person's life. "till I entered the sanctuary of God;then I understood their final destiny."(Psalm 73:17)

Destiny should be behind every decision we make. The fleeting pleasures of life is very impressive to our sight but it can slowly pull us away from the blessed plans of God. "Surely you place them on slippery ground;you cast them down to ruin.How suddenly are they destroyed,completely swept away by terrors!They are like a dream when one awakes;when you arise, Lord,you will despise them as fantasies."(Psalm 73:18-20)

When destiny is taken into consideration, there is only one obvious decision and that's what Asaph took- "But as for me, it is good to be near God."(Psalm 73:28)

Heaven's made its intent clear by sending Immanuel(God with us) to us. He desires to be with us and in us. James in his epistle thus says- "Draw near to God and He will draw near to us"(James 4:8)

• Disciplines of prayer,devotion,singing, praise
• Active church community life.
• Living a Spirit led life.
• Learning from the life and mission of leaders who modelled life of faith.
• Leading a testimonial life and being a blessing to the city,community and places where God placed us.
• Decisions and emotions guided by God's word.
