GenZ Revolution In India

July 20th saw a revolution in Delhi. The students disappointed over NEET and other question paper leaks hit the street and it caught the government offguard. The Delhi Police used inhuman ways to contain the protests like usage of pellet guns, lathicharge and detentions. The agitation still continues demanding the resignation of the Union Education Minister along with other conditions.

India is a powerhouse of youngsters but we see massive unemployment and to amplify the issue we see a rigged education system. Education should be kept away from all business interests. After NEET came into picture we could see students giving less importance to 11th and 12th grades. They enrolled in coaching institutes paying a fortune to crack the exam. Many youngsters committed suicide due to the failure of the system. The examinations were rigged as papers were leaked and various other attempts were made by the mafia groups to favor those who had money and influence. NEP was rolled out and we see by various instances how this made the lives of students hard.

Now the youth have hit the streets. The government should not treat the students with contempt. They should engage in dialogue and hold those who are behind this fiasco starting from the minister in charge accountable. GenZ won't give up. They are fearless and they are pertinent in their views. May it all work for the greater good of the society as when the right questions are asked by the future of the nation, we should have the right answers.
